Ranking the 25 Top Venture-Backed Cybersecurity Companies Growing Fast in 2025

CISOs contend with matters of risk, while SecOps is concerned about noise. Compliance teams worry about data boundaries. Procurement likes to hear about the Total Cost of Ownership. And everyone on the buying committee knows that trust is more important in cybersecurity than almost anywhere else.

Who is building that multifaceted foundation in a saturated market?

Cybersecurity has been huge in 2025. While overshadowed by AI funding, there have still been some large cybersecurity exits and acquisitions, most notably Google’s $32 billion acquisition of Wiz. We want to explore the rest of the space, but not just anecdotally. We needed some data.

So, we put our heads together and refined metrics on cybersecurity companies that have received lots of funding and are funded in the Silicon Valley ecosystem. This allows more clear comparisons with similar funding and business models. It also applies the power laws to funding and company concentration in this space.
